Job summary

Invenergy is seeking an Advanced Wind Technician for the Forward Energy Center in Brownsville, Wisconsin. You will operate and maintain the wind facility, performing critical upkeep of wind turbines to ensure reliable energy delivery.

Responsibilities include routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on Siemens Gamesa and GE turbines, climbing towers daily with safety gear, troubleshooting faults, and keeping tools and facilities in a safe, organized state.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year technical experience or equivalent education.
• Able to work outdoors in inclement weather, climb ladders and work at heights.
• Move and manipulate up to 45 kg (100 pounds).
• Valid driver’s license and eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on Siemens Gamesa and GE wind turbines and associated equipment
• Climb wind turbine towers daily, wearing all required safety equipment, to inspect, maintain, or repair equipment.
• Understand electrical and mechanical functions of all components of a wind turbine generator and associated equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults; repair and/or replace components
• Maintain company tooling, facilities and equipment and a clean safe work environment
• Work a 40 hour work week and be subject to scheduled and unscheduled overtime. The work schedule will vary during the peak maintenance periods
