Job summary

Vestas is hiring a Wind Site Technician to ensure the smooth operation of wind turbines, addressing maintenance, troubleshooting, and system issues. The role welcomes candidates from wind, electrical, mechanical, or heavy machinery backgrounds.

Base pay ranges from $28.25 to $33.43 per hour with potential for additional variable compensation, plus a $2,500 sign-on bonus. Training includes GWO Safety & Technical Training, PPE, and a strong safety culture that supports career growth.

Qualifications

• Wind Technician certificate, wind turbine experience or mechanical/electrical background.
• Strong problem-solving and engaged approach to responsibilities.
• Safety-conscious with best practices.
• Able to work well in teams and physically fit.
• English speaking and reading; valid driver’s license; work authorization in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair wind turbines with the team to keep communities powered.
• Adhere to safety protocols and perform safety inspections.
• Collaborate with team to improve turbine performance and share best practices.
• Document work and continuously improve operational processes.
• Accurately time code all work activities for tracking duration and efficiency.
