Job summary

Vestas is seeking a Wind Site Technician in the United States to maintain and repair wind turbines, addressing maintenance, troubleshooting, and system issues. You will help ensure clean, reliable energy for local communities.

With GWO training, PPE and growth opportunities, the position offers a base pay range of $28.25–$33.43 per hour plus a $2,500 sign-on bonus. English proficiency and a high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• Wind Technician certificate (or equivalent) or wind turbine experience or mechanical/electrical field experience.
• Safety-focused approach and ability to follow safety protocols.
• Ability to work well in a team and collaborate.
• Comfortable working at heights and in varying conditions.
• Proficient in reading and following English instructions.
• High school diploma or equivalent with valid driver’s license; eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair wind turbines with the team to keep communities powered.
• Adhere to safety protocols and perform safety inspections.
• Collaborate with the team to improve turbine performance and share best practices.
• Document work and continuously improve operational processes.
• Accurately time code all work activities for tracking task duration and efficiency.
