Job summary

Vestas is actively seeking a Wind Site Technician in the United States to ensure the reliable operation of wind turbines through hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting. The role welcomes applicants with wind, electrical, mechanical, or heavy machinery backgrounds and emphasizes safety and teamwork.

We offer a base pay range of $28.25–$33.43 per hour, plus a $2,500 sign-on bonus and comprehensive training using GWO standards.

Qualifications

• Wind Technician certificate or wind turbine experience required.
• Meets the criteria: 6 months with a Wind Technician certificate, 1 year wind turbine experience, or 2 years in mechanical/electrical fields.
• Must be able to read and follow instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair wind turbines with the team to keep communities powered.
• Adhere to safety protocols and conduct safety inspections.
• Collaborate with team to improve turbine performance and share best practices.
• Document work and improve operational processes.
