Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Wind Energy Analyst to join our Renewable Energy team in Colombia. The role focuses on wind resource assessment, energy yield analyses, and wind flow modeling using CFD and mesoscale methods.

You will collaborate with engineers, meteorologists, and project teams to optimize turbine siting, evaluate climate suitability, and deliver technical reports for clients worldwide.

Qualifications

• 6–9 years of professional experience in wind energy or renewable resource assessment.
• Experience performing wind resource assessments, energy production estimates, and evaluations for utility-scale projects.
• Strong background in meteorological analysis and renewable energy performance metrics is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Analyze wind data and perform resource assessments for existing and proposed wind projects.
• Conduct wind flow modeling using CFD and mesoscale techniques.
• Develop wind resource calculations and energy yield assessments.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on project development and due diligence.
• Prepare technical reports and client deliverables; mentor junior staff.
