Job summary

GE Vernova’s Onshore wind power capacity is growing fast and will continue to rise. The Wind Hub Technician maintains turbine operations, performs required maintenance, ensures safety and quality, and executes warranty repairs at Texas Hub 1 sites.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic and mechanical issues, documenting work, and coordinating with site leadership and GE’s remote operations center. The role requires driving, climbing turbines, and rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year wind technician or wind mechanic experience.
• Or 2 years hydraulic/electrical experience with TK assessment and basic computer skills.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs and climb towers 300+ ft.
• Read electrical schematics and manuals.
• Work in industrial facilities with rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair or replacement of turbine parts.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic and electrical issues on turbines.
• Document work using service reporting procedures.
• Collaborate with Site Lead/Manager to meet contract requirements.
• Coordinate with GE remote operations center as needed.
