Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC is hiring a Wind Farm Technician I to ensure safe and effective operations and maintenance at wind farms and related facilities. You will perform routine inspections, troubleshoot, and repair renewable energy systems while upholding EHS protocols and documenting activities.

Role includes leading or mentoring junior staff, coordinating retrofit installations, and providing cross‑site support as needed. Strong focus on safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree or equivalent certification in renewable energy technology or electrical systems preferred.
• Unrestricted driver’s license.
• Must live within 1 hour drive time to site.
• Minimum 5 years of technical experience in renewable energy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all operation and maintenance activities are performed safely and in compliance with site policies and EHS requirements.
• Lead installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of renewable energy systems and BoP procedures.
• Conduct acceptance and performance tests, inspections, and detailed reporting.
• Train, supervise, and support junior team members, promoting safety and skill development.
• Serve as backup to personnel at other RWE sites and provide operational support as needed.
