Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC is hiring a Wind Farm Technician II to support the operation and maintenance of one or more wind farms and related facilities, ensuring safety and maximum availability. The role covers safe execution of scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, repair activities, training, and safety exercises within the O&M team.

Responsibilities include conducting tests, assisting with turbine maintenance and balance of plant procedures, and maintaining tool and equipment readiness.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree preferred
• Minimum 4 years of operations/maintenance experience in power generation, transmission or distribution
• Technical science background (engineering, physics, power) acceptable with degree
• Journeyman/Master Electrician license or Wind Tech Certificate acceptable
• Valid unrestricted driver's license
• Wind turbine experience preferred (Vestas, GE, Acciona, Nordex)
• Military technical experience (electrical/electronics/mechanical)
• Willing to relocate within 1 hour of site
• Proficient in MS Office and Teams
• Ability to travel to job sites as assigned

Responsibilities

• Ensure all operations and maintenance activities are performed safely per site policies and procedures
• Assist acceptance and performance tests on systems/equipment after planned maintenance or outages
• Perform wind farm related tasks and back up at other sites as needed
• Assist turbine maintenance including services, major components, and troubleshooting
• Assist with Balance of Plant procedures including substation and collection system maintenance
• Adhere to company values and behaviors
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager
