Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC seeks a Wind Farm Technician I to perform safe, effective O&M at one or more wind farms in Illinois. You will troubleshoot, repair, inspect, and document activities, while mentoring junior staff and coordinating with other departments to improve performance.

Ideal candidates have strong safety focus, hands-on electromechanical skills, and the ability to lead retrofit work and complex repairs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree/certification in renewable energy or electrical systems preferred.
• Unrestricted driver’s license; live within 1 hour of site.

Responsibilities

• Perform safe operation and maintenance of wind farms and BoP equipment.
• Lead installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of wind/renewable systems.
• Conduct tests, inspections, and detailed reporting after maintenance or outages.
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate cross‑department collaboration.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate findings to management.
