Job summary

EDP Renewables is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee wind power facility operations and maintenance across Lone Star Wind Farm in Abilene, TX. You will lead daily ownership, coordinate maintenance contracts, and ensure safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance.

The role requires 5–7 years in wind energy, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple sites and contractors with a focus on performance and value retention.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is strongly preferred.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software and database applications.
• Strong analytical, communication, and relationship-building skills with a technical mindset.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations and maintenance activities for wind assets within established guidelines for projects 100–400 MW.
• Interface with local communities and stakeholders to maintain rapport and alignment.
• Manage balance-of-plant maintenance contracts and on-site maintenance.
• Ensure safety, regulatory, and environmental performance reporting and compliance.
• Collaborate with engineering, accounting, and development teams to maximize facility performance.
