Job summary

AVANGRID TEXAS RENEWABLES, LLC seeks a Wind Plant Manager to run day-to-day operations and maintenance of a utility-scale wind facility. The role involves budgeting, outage coordination with the interconnect entity, and coordinating with the trading desk to ensure safe, compliant, and cost-effective performance.

You will lead crews, enforce safety programs, manage contracts, and oversee preventative maintenance programs with a focus on Prudence and reliability.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree or technical certificate or 5 years related experience.
• Experience in power plant operations and maintenance.
• Ability to climb 80-meter towers and lift up to 285 lbs with safety.
• Proficiency with computer-based reporting and diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily wind plant operations and maintenance within budget.
• Coordinate outages and interconnect/trading desk activities.
• Ensure environmental, health and safety program compliance.
• Manage contracts, warranties and capital improvement programs.
• Lead staffing, training and performance evaluations.
• Prepare annual budgets and monthly profit and loss reports.
• Review root cause analyses and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain internal controls and develop new controls as needed.
