Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an operator for the Towner Wind Project in Sheridan Lake, CO. The role focuses on operating heavy equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to Mortenson safety policies and project procedures.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of related experience, a valid driver’s license with required endorsements, and a strong commitment to teamwork and quality customer service on site.

Qualifications

• Minimum one (1) year of related experience.
• Strong teamwork orientation and professional customer service skills.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and load charts.
• Able to operate equipment by moving levers, shifting gears, and using pedals.
• Diligent about safety and housekeeping on site.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment per project requirements (blade, dozer, loader, crane, forklift, telehandler, etc.).
• Follow safety regulations and maintain clean, organized work areas.
• Perform routine maintenance, observe operation, and detect malfunctions.
• Follow work plans and pre-task cards.
• Build relationships across diverse teams and levels.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
