Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Safety Manager I to lead the Zero Injury Safety program across multiple project sites in the United States. The role emphasizes safety oversight, training, and compliance, with potential supervision of safety professionals and high-frequency travel.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in safety or a related field with at least six years of construction safety experience and electrical program development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in safety or related field with relevant certifications.
• Minimum of six years in construction safety leadership and program management.
• Electrical program development experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide safety oversight and leadership across multiple project sites.
• Lead site-specific electrical safety programs and activities.
• Identify training needs and conduct safety orientation and training.
• Review safety submittals and attend meetings with subcontractors.
• Mentor Safety staff and coordinate with Senior Safety Engineers.
• Track and analyze safety, injury, and hazard statistics and OSHA data.
• Conduct work area safety audits and major incident analyses.
• Monitor subcontractor activities for safety concerns.
