Job summary

Broadlawns Medical Center is seeking a WIC Support Staff/Outreach Specialist for the Dallas County clinic in Clive. The role handles reception, intake, benefit issuance, and outreach activities, with a regular 8:00 AM–6:00 PM schedule.

This on-site position requires strong customer service and data-entry skills to support families accessing WIC services. The successful candidate will verify participant information, assist with voter registration-related processes, and maintain accurate records

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Computer skills including word processing and/or data entry.
• One-year experience in dealing with the public.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Greet the public at the reception desk and provide excellent customer service.
• Answer incoming phone calls and direct inquiries appropriately.
• Complete participant intake functions (verification of residence, identity, income, and demographics).
• Assist participants in filling out forms and explain the use of eWIC cards.

Greetspublic,answers phones and provides excellent customer service2. Completes participant intake functions such as• Verifying participant residence, identification, and income Completing demographic information Ensuring voter registration activities are completed Assisting participants in filling out forms3. Issues benefits to participants, explains proper use of eWICcard to participants, maintains appropriate records.4. Maintains computer system: maintains data entry and retrieval; prints benefits and forms; schedules appointments5. Assumes responsibility for one or more of the following projects or skills:6. filing of various forms and maintains for required time: Rights and Responsibilities, termination notices, proxy cards, Voter Motor receipts routine correspondence with clients including appointment reminders and missed appointment notification word processing using Windows and Word software translating/interpretingaforeignlanguage including bothverbal andwrittenforms referraltocommunity resources for food,shelter andrelatedneeds correctionofparticipantcomputer recordsutilizingprintedorverbal reportsfromthe State WICoffice Farmers Market program Participates in training and actively promotes and supports breastfeeding efforts7.
