Job summary

Te Taiwhenua o Heretaunga is looking for a Tenancy Officer to manage various tenancies and support tenants' wellbeing in Weston, Massachusetts. This permanent, full-time role involves overseeing properties, conducting inspections, and ensuring sustainable housing solutions. Ideal candidates should have experience in tenancy management and strong people skills.

You will work Monday to Friday with benefits including 5 weeks annual leave and health insurance, contributing to a fun and supportive workplace environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing a portfolio of tenancies in the community or private sector.
• Familiarity with Housing NZ and Ministry of Social Development processes.
• Ability to keep calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a range of tenancies types including Transitional Housing.
• Carry out tenancy management responsibilities and property inspections.
• Ensure tenant wellbeing and provide support through collaboration.

Skills

Experience in managing a portfolio of tenancies

Ability to manage difficult interactions

Excellent time management

Excellent report writing skills

Understanding of Te Reo and tikanga practices
