Base pay range
$22.00/hr - $23.00/hr
Job Responsibilities
- Assist and support management and the leadership team with handling and resolving Human Resources issues.
- Approach all encounters with guests and associates in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including compliance with Aimbridge Hospitality dress code.
- Ensure adherence to Aimbridge Hospitality’s standards and regulations to promote safe and efficient operations.
- Assist employees with internal and external transfer requests and procedures.
- Monitor and assist managers/supervisors with hiring processes and issues.
- Coordinate and conduct applicant drug screens, reference checks, background checks, motor vehicle checks, and social security number verification.
- Create and maintain new hire and personnel files and enter them into Human Resources Information Systems.
- Assist with orientation of new employees.
- Monitor all hiring and recruitment processes for compliance with laws and policies.
- Maintain employee records and support payroll processing as needed.
- Create and maintain filing systems and generate HR data reports.
- Serve as HR subject matter expert and participate in project teams.
- Train new hires on HR processes, policies, and systems.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years of HR experience.
- College coursework in related field helpful.
- Knowledge of basic HR principles.
- Proficient with Windows (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to evaluate options quickly and accurately.
- Ability to meet deadlines and multitask.
- Problem-solving skills in the workplace.
- Ability to understand complex information and adapt accordingly.
- Effective listening and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work with financial data and perform basic arithmetic.
