Job summary

Altra Homecare Group is seeking compassionate caregivers to join our team of dedicated professionals delivering in-home personal care. You will provide essential support tailored to each patient’s needs and promote safety and wellbeing in the comfort of their home.

Responsibilities include medication reminders, light housekeeping, meal assistance, mobility support, and keeping accurate care documentation. A valid driver’s license and training are required; the position offers a flexible schedule

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Possess a valid Driver's License and Auto Insurance.
• Ability to read, follow written instructions, and document care provided.
• Comply with training requirements as per State and Federal laws (training provided).

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient laundry when necessary
• Provide medication reminders
• Ensure patient safety
• Report significant changes in the patient's condition directly to their supervisor
• Prepare light meals and assist with patient feeding when required
• Assist patients with ambulation
• Conduct range of motion exercises and other simple physical activities
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and adhere to care protocols
• Follow privacy policies and infection control guidelines
• Offer bathing assistance
• Perform light housekeeping
• Provide companion services, including letter-writing and reading
