Job summary

Altra Homecare Group is seeking compassionate CNAs, HHAs, and PCAs to join our Indiana homecare team. Flexible scheduling and competitive weekly pay are offered to help meet patient needs and support caregivers.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living tasks, medication reminders, safety monitoring, transportation support, light housekeeping, and companionship. Training is provided, with preference for 1 year of experience and CPR/TB certifications.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Possess a valid Driver's License and Auto Insurance.
• Ability to read, follow written instructions, and document care provided.
• Comply with training requirements as per State and Federal laws (training provided).
• Preferred: Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Preferred: current CPR certification.
• Preferred: current tuberculosis (TB) test.

• Assist with patient laundry when necessary
• Provide medication reminders
• Ensure patient safety
• Report significant changes in the patient's condition directly to their supervisor
• Prepare light meals and assist with patient feeding when required
• Monitor and record patient temperature
• Assist patients with ambulation
• Conduct range of motion exercises and other simple physical activities
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and adhere to care protocols
• Follow privacy policies and infection control guidelines
• Offer bathing assistance
• Perform light housekeeping
• Provide companion services, including letter-writing and reading
