Job summary

Altra Homecare Group in Carmel, IN is seeking compassionate CNAs, HHAs, and PCAs to provide in-home personal care tailored to each patient’s needs. You will deliver essential care, monitor health, assist with daily activities, and maintain accurate documentation.

We offer paid training, flexible schedules, overtime pay, and direct deposit as part of a supportive, patient-centered team.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Possess a valid Driver's License and Auto Insurance.
• Ability to read, follow written instructions, and document care provided.
• Comply with training requirements as per State and Federal laws (training provided).
• Preferred: Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Preferred: CPR certification.
• Preferred: current TB test.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient laundry when necessary.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Ensure patient safety.
• Report significant changes in the patient's condition directly to their supervisor.
• Prepare light meals and assist with patient feeding when required.
• Monitor and record patient temperature.
• Assist patients with ambulation.
• Conduct range of motion exercises and other simple physical activities.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and adhere to care protocols.
• Follow privacy policies and infection control guidelines.
• Offer bathing assistance.
• Perform light housekeeping.
• Provide companion services, including letter-writing and reading.
