Job summary

Altra Homecare Group in Westfield, Indiana is looking for compassionate caregivers to deliver personal care services in patients' homes. You will assist with daily activities, monitor well-being, and ensure safety with respect and confidentiality.

We offer a flexible schedule, weekly pay between $14 and $17 per hour, overtime, holiday pay, direct deposit, and recognition programs. Training is provided; prior experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Possess a valid Driver's License and Auto Insurance.
• Ability to read, follow written instructions, and document care provided.
• Comply with training requirements as per State and Federal laws (training provided)
• Preferred: Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience
• Preferred: current CPR certification
• Preferred: current tuberculosis (TB) test

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient laundry when necessary
• Provide medication reminders
• Ensure patient safety
• Report significant changes in the patient's condition directly to their supervisor
• Prepare light meals and assist with patient feeding when required
• Assist patients with ambulation
• Conduct range of motion exercises and other simple physical activities
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and adhere to care protocols
• Follow privacy policies and infection control guidelines
• Offer bathing assistance
• Perform light housekeeping
• Provide companion services, including letter-writing and reading
