Job summary

Austin Powder is seeking a Western Mining Technical Services Manager to lead the technical products and services for the Western US mining markets, covering surface and underground operations. You will drive blast design, product selection, surveying, and post-blast analysis while coordinating with sales and corporate teams.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s (mining engineering) with 10+ years in mining or blasting, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to obtain state

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mining Engineering required; relevant experience considered in lieu of education.
• 10+ years in mining engineering/explosive blasting or related roles.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% and be located in a predominant mining market.
• Ability to attain state blasting licensure and ATF explosive handling clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead Western US technical services for mining products and services across surface and underground.
• Provide blast design, product selection, surveying, post-blast analysis, and support to customers.
• Collaborate with regional and corporate teams to meet customer needs and sales targets.
• Develop and implement policies, SOPs, and training materials for surface and underground blasting.
• Build networks with technical leaders across Austin Powder and coordinate with Product Managers.
• Support manufacturing objectives to improve product quality and profitability.
• Prepare responses to RFPs and RFIs as needed.
