Job summary

Stantec seeks an experienced Mine Technical Services Manager for the Western US, based in an in‑office role. You will lead North American resource geology, mining (open pit and underground), and advisory teams across projects from study through feasibility, with a strong emphasis on client relationships and business development.

You will mentor staff, drive execution planning, manage scope and risk, and travel ~10% to client sites and other offices as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a B.S. in Mining Engineering or related field from an accredited university.
• An MBA is considered an asset.
• Experience leading and developing high performing teams is essential.
• Ability to sign off as competent person for NI43‑101, JORC and SEC SK‑1300 reports is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary team of mining engineers, geologists, economists, and designers from high level studies through execution.
• Engage in business development with a focus on external relationships and key clients.
• Interface with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure project objectives and study definitions are translated into actionable plans.
• Provide technical leadership, risk management, and QA/QC across projects.
