Job summary

Flanigan’s is seeking a dedicated dishwasher to keep dishes, glassware, and utensils clean and sanitized to the highest standards. You will follow safety policies, operate the dish machine, and support the kitchen team during shifts.

Requirements include ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and basic English skills. A Florida food safety certification is encouraged. We offer a five-day work week, paid vacation, health and retirement benefits, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs several times per shift.

• Complete and pass Florida food safety certification program.

• Cleans and sanitizes throughout shift.
• Maintain kitchen area cleanliness; sweeps, mops, removes debris from floor, etc.
• Perform assigned prep work, opening/closing duties, beautification duties.
• Prepares and maintains dish machine at opening, during business hours, and at closing.

Responsibilities

• Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
• Washes and provides clean and sanitized plateware, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, kitchen utensils using Flanigan’s sanitation policies
• Cleans and sanitizes throughout shift
• Maintain kitchen area cleanliness ; sweeps, mops, removes debris from floor, etc
• Perform assigned prep work, opening/closing duties, beautification duties
• Prepares and maintains dish machine at opening, during business hours, and at closing

Qualifications

• Can physically stand/walk 100 % of shift
• Can reach, bend, stoop
• Can immerse hands in water frequently, diluted with chemical solutions
• Ability to speak, read and write English
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. several times per shift, lift these heavy loads to high shelves, coolers, freezers
• Work in damp, high temperature environment indoors and minimally outdoors
• Work safely with hot plates, pots, pans
• Work safely with sharp knives and utensils
• Support fellow employees as needed
• Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
