Job summary

Flanigan’s Enterprises, Inc. in Miami, FL is seeking a reliable dishwasher to keep dishware clean and the kitchen area sanitary. You will follow safety procedures and assist with basic prep and opening/closing duties.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read and write English.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. multiple times per shift.
• Complete and pass Florida sanitation/food safety certification as required.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize plateware, glassware, silverware, pots and pans.
• Maintain kitchen area cleanliness during shift.
• Perform opening/closing duties and prep work as assigned.
• Operate and maintain the dish machine.

You’re a key piece of the puzzle, taking great care to make sure every single thing is cleaned and sanitized to the highest of standards.

• Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
• Washes and provides clean and sanitized plateware, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, kitchen utensils using Flanigan’s sanitation policies
• Cleans and sanitizes throughout shift
• Maintain kitchen area cleanliness ; sweeps, mops, removes debris from floor, etc
• Perform assigned prep work, opening/closing duties, beautification duties
• Prepares and maintains dish machine at opening, during business hours, and at closing
• Can physically stand/walk 100 % of shift
• Can reach, bend, stoop
• Can immerse hands in water frequently, diluted with chemical solutions
• Ability to speak, read and write English
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. several times per shift, lift these heavy loads to high shelves, coolers, freezers
• Work in damp, high temperature environment indoors and minimally outdoors
• Work safely with hot plates, pots, pans
• Work safely with sharp knives and utensils
• Support fellow employees as needed
• Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
• Five (5) Day Work Week, with Two (2) Consecutive Days Off
• Paid Vacation One Week after Year One, Two Weeks after Two Years, and Three Weeks after Ten Years
• Christmas Bonus after one year of employment (amount equals one week pay)
