Job summary

Flanigan’s is seeking a dedicated dishwasher to maintain a clean, safe and sanitary kitchen environment. You will ensure all dishware is cleaned and sanitized to high standards and support the kitchen team throughout the shift.

The role involves standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and following safety policies. On-site position with a five-day work week and eligibility for benefits such as health insurance and 401(k).

Qualifications

• Ability to speak, read and write English.
• Ability to stand/walk for the full shift and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Work safely with hot plates, pots, pans, and sharp utensils.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize plateware, glassware, silverware, pots and pans following sanitation policies.
• Clean and sanitize throughout shift; maintain kitchen area cleanliness.
• Assist with opening/closing duties and prep work as assigned.
• Prepare and maintain dishwashing equipment and machines during openings and close.

You’re a key piece of the puzzle, taking great care to make sure every single thing is cleaned and sanitized to the highest of standards.

Responsibilities

• Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
• Washes and provides clean and sanitized plateware, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, kitchen utensils using Flanigan’s sanitation policies
• Cleans and sanitizes throughout shift
• Maintain kitchen area cleanliness ; sweeps, mops, removes debris from floor, etc
• Perform assigned prep work, opening/closing duties, beautification duties
• Prepares and maintains dish machine at opening, during business hours, and at closing

Qualifications

• Can physically stand/walk 100 % of shift
• Can reach, bend, stoop
• Can immerse hands in water frequently, diluted with chemical solutions
• Ability to speak, read and write English
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. several times per shift, lift these heavy loads to high shelves, coolers, freezers
• Work in damp, high temperature environment indoors and minimally outdoors
• Work safely with hot plates, pots, pans
• Work safely with sharp knives and utensils
• Support fellow employees as needed
• Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
