Job summary

Yelp is seeking an Inbound Sales Retention Specialist to support and retain our small business advertisers. This remote role requires Western U.S. residency and a results-driven mindset.

You will manage an inbound phone queue, educate advertisers, and demonstrate ROI through performance metrics, while collaborating with Yelp teams to deliver tailored solutions. The base salary is $50,000 plus performance-based incentives, with comprehensive benefits and a path to growth within the Customer

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or 3+ years of relevant client facing experience.
• Technically proficient with computers and information systems.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience in account management, sales, advertising, or small business (preferred).
• Love for local businesses and understanding their impact on local economies.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills; able to track many details.
• Ability to handle tough conversations with business owners in a professional, solutions-oriented manner.
• Ability to balance consulting and supporting as needed.
• Willingness to receive and implement feedback.
• Adaptable to a fast-paced and always-changing environment.
• Access to a dedicated hardline high-speed internet connection at workspace.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional and timely customer support to strengthen revenue retention.
• Handle an inbound phone queue; consult and educate Yelp advertisers.
• Show clients the value of Yelp by highlighting investment returns through ad metrics.
• Use listening and conflict resolution to manage escalated clients.
• Become an expert in Yelp advertising solutions and tailor recommendations.
• Communicate effectively with clients and internal Yelp teams.
• Stay organized and efficient in a fast-paced environment.
• Strive to consistently meet or exceed monthly goals.
• Utilize Chatbench to research, draft proposals, analyze data, and overcome objections.
