Job summary

Yelp is seeking an Inbound Sales Retention Specialist to support and retain our small business advertisers. This remote role requires residency in the Western region of the United States and features a Saturday-Wednesday schedule with shifts in Pacific Time.

The position offers a base salary plus incentives and a comprehensive benefits package. You will help strengthen revenue retention, educate advertisers on ad performance, and use Yelp tools to draft proposals and analyze outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 3+ years of relevant client-facing experience.
• Technically proficient with computers and information systems.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience in account management, sales, advertising, or small business preferred.
• Love for local businesses and understanding their importance in local economies.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle tough conversations with business owners professionally.
• Balance consulting and support as needed.
• Willing to receive feedback and adapt to fast-paced environments.
• A reliable high-speed internet connection at workspace is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional and timely customer support to retain advertisers.
• Consult and educate Yelp advertisers via an inbound phone queue.
• Demonstrate ROI of Yelp ads using performance metrics.
• Handle escalated clients with strong listening and conflict resolution.
• Become an expert on Yelp advertising solutions and tailor recommendations.
• Communicate clearly with clients and internal teams.
• Stay organized and efficient in a fast-paced environment.
• Meet or exceed monthly retention and revenue goals.
• Use Chatbench to research, draft proposals, and analyze data.
