Job summary

Yelp is seeking an Inbound Sales Retention Specialist to support, consult, and retain our small business advertisers from a remote location in the Western United States. The role focuses on helping local businesses grow through Yelp’s advertising solutions and driving retention through high-quality customer care.

You will handle inbound calls, educate advertisers on ROI, and work toward monthly targets in a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or 3+ years of client-facing experience.
• Technically proficient with computers and information systems.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting ability.
• Experience in account management, sales, advertising, or small business is preferred.
• Love for local businesses and their importance to local economies.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills; detail oriented.
• Ability to handle tough conversations professionally and solutions‑oriented.
• Willingness to receive and implement feedback.
• Able to adapt to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
• Requires reliable high-speed internet in workspace; satellite or mobile hotspots not suitable.

Responsibilities

• Strengthen revenue retention by providing exceptional customer support.
• Manage an inbound phone queue; consult and educate Yelp advertisers.
• Demonstrate client value through ad performance metrics and ROI.
• Handle escalated clients with strong listening and conflict resolution.
• Become an expert in Yelp’s advertising solutions and tailor recommendations.
• Communicate clearly with clients and internal teams.
• Maintain organization in a fast-paced setting and meet monthly goals.
• Utilize Chatbench to research, draft proposals, analyze data, and overcome objections.
