Job summary

Reading Truck Body, part of the J.B. Poindexter & Co. family, is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to own the AZ, UT, ID, WA, OR, NV, CA, AK, HI markets from the West region.

You will strengthen distributor partnerships, open doors to new business, and expand our presence with fleets, municipalities, and end users. You are a relationship-builder and growth-minded sales leader who can develop a market, uncover opportunities, and turn partnerships into results.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of outside sales experience in a comparable industry.
• Strong ability to develop trusted customer, distributor, and internal partnerships.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred; proficiency with Salesforce and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Drive Sales & Profitability: Own and deliver sales and profit objectives across your assigned territory, identifying opportunities to accelerate growth.
• Expand the Market: Grow Reading Truck’s customer and distributor portfolio by developing new relationships and opening doors in new markets.
• Grow Fleet Business: Identify and develop opportunities with regional fleets, collaborating on body solutions and production needs.
• Know the Competition: Stay ahead of market and competitive activity and turn insights into actions for sales leadership.
• Improve How We Work: Strengthen internal and customer-facing processes to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and the customer experience.
• Deliver on Customer Expectations: Balance customer needs with operational capabilities and set clear pricing and lead times.
• Support the Customer: Work with internal teams to resolve service and warranty needs while maintaining strong relationships.
• Step Up & Contribute: Take on additional responsibilities to support the team and continued growth.
