Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks a West Region Electronic Design Manager to lead the Fire Systems Design organization across the Western Region, ensuring high-quality, cost-effective design solutions and adherence to standards.

The role oversees Design Team Managers and engineering staff, coordinating with regional operations, sales, and Fire Systems Engineering leadership to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the Fire Alarm Industry.
• NICET Certification Level II or higher required.
• Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, and team development abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop Design Team Managers across the Western Region.
• Balance workload, optimize resources, and improve productivity.
• Ensure adherence to codes, standards, and customer specifications.
• Drive continuous process improvements to reduce design costs.
• Collaborate with Operations, Sales, and Engineering leadership for alignment.
• Monitor metrics like design productivity and on-time delivery.
