Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Field Project Manager for its Fire division to lead complex installation projects across diverse facilities. You will oversee scope, scheduling, budgeting, safety, and quality while coordinating design, permits, material delivery, and field work.

You will ensure on-time, in-scope project delivery, manage resources, and communicate progress to stakeholders. Travel to local sites is expected as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certificate in Fire & Life Safety, Electrical/Electronic or Security preferred.
• NICET Level II certification within 1 year preferred.
• PMI- PMP certification to be obtained within two years.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex fire alarm, security, and communications installation projects in commercial, educational, healthcare, industrial, and military facilities.
• Set up local project offices, define scope, identify risks, establish methodology, allocate resources, and facilitate.
• Manage schedule, cost, safety, quality, and customer satisfaction; present updates to management/customers.
• Ensure projects close on time and within scope; coordinate change orders and margin improvements.
• Coordinate project progression from inception to completion, including design, permits, material delivery, and field installation.
• Develop comprehensive project plans and conduct Work in Progress meetings.
• Follow published codes, standards, and project specifications; ensure AHJ requirements and SOX procedures are met.
