Job summary

Build People in West Palm Beach, FL is seeking an experienced General Superintendent to oversee commercial construction projects in the area. This hands-on leadership role requires managing complex projects from preconstruction through completion.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in high-end custom homes and commercial construction, including private schools, healthcare facilities, churches, and other institutional or commercial builds.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of construction experience with superintendent level responsibility.
• Experience managing high-end residential and commercial projects.
• OSHA certification preferred; Procore experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee construction activities from mobilization through project completion.
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
• Maintain project schedules and ensure milestones are met.
• Coordinate daily site operations, inspections, deliveries, and manpower.
• Review plans, specifications, and construction documents to identify potential issues.
• Work closely with Project Managers, owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Maintain high standards for quality, safety, and site organization.
• Track project progress and proactively address scheduling or field issues.
• Conduct regular site meetings and coordinate subcontractor activities.
• Ensure work is completed according to plans, specifications, and established quality standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including RFIs, submittals, daily reports, and punch lists.
• Help drive projects to successful completion while maintaining strong relationships with clients and project teams.
