Job summary

GLOVIS America, Inc. seeks an Analyst for the West Coast W&D team to oversee inbound and outbound ocean freight forwarding operations. This role emphasizes customer service, monitoring shipments, and coordinating with operations and trucking partners to control costs.

Responsibilities include handling documentation (HBLs, MBLs, AES, bills of lading), updating systems, and providing regular status updates. Requires 0–1 year in logistics and strong Excel skills, based in Rancho Dominguez, CA.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/G.E.D. required; 0–1 year in Freight Forwarding, Logistics, or SCM preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to sit at a desk and operate a computer in a typical office setting.

Responsibilities

• General 3PL operations (Inbound, outbound, in-land and warehouse/distribution).
• Provide in/outbound operation services.
• Monitor Ocean import/export schedules and update vendors on documentation issues.
• Coordinate with operations, customers, and truckers to minimize unnecessary costs.
• Prepare shipping documentation for international bookings and process all import/export documentation to clearing agents (HBLs, MBLs, AES, ‎Bill of Ladings, etc.).
• Liaise with customers, suppliers and air carriers to ensure premium customer service.
• Update Freight Forwarding system and air shipments history.
• Provide status updates for customers daily & weekly.
• Ensure all charges are billed correctly.
