Job summary

GLOVIS America Inc. is seeking a Senior Analyst in Freight Forwarding Accounting to manage month-end closings, reconciliations, and financial analysis for the Freight Forwarding business.

The role ensures accurate revenue, cost, accruals, and balance sheet postings in line with policies and accounting standards. The incumbent collaborates with Operations and the accounting team to resolve issues, support reporting, and provide reliable information for management review.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2-3 years of experience in Financial Accounting and Reporting, Month End Closing and Account Reconciliation.
• 3-5 years of experience in Financial Accounting and Reporting, Month End Closing and Account Reconciliation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly journal entries, accruals, reclassifications, and other accounting adjustments with supporting documentation.
• Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
• Review revenue and direct cost transactions for proper cutoff and classification.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations including accrued revenue, accrued cost, unbilled revenue, and prepaid expenses.
• Investigate aged accruals, reconciling items, and unusual balances, coordinating with Operations for timely resolution.
• Analyze actual results against budget, prior month, and prior year, and explain significant variances.
• Prepare recurring financial reports including revenue/cost/d_margin analyses and location performance.
• Review data to identify missing revenue, unrecorded cost, or duplicates.
• Support billing and collections with information on outstanding invoices and disputes.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation for entries, reconciliations, and closing activities.
• Escalate significant accounting issues to supervisor.
• Assist with audit requests and annual budget/forecast.
• Participate in process improvements and automation.
• Prepare ad-hoc analyses for management.
