Job summary

SPT Labtech is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support electro/mechanical troubleshooting across the West Coast, ideally based in Seattle or San Diego. You will handle on-site installations, preventative maintenance and emergency repairs while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires travel to other US regions and international training. A technical associate degree or engineering background, strong communication and organization, and a customer-focused mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Electro-mechanical troubleshooting experience for complex instruments.
• Engineering/technical degree or equivalent, with hands-on problem solving.
• Strong communication and customer-facing capabilities required.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and perform on-site installation and preventative maintenance.
• Conduct emergency service visits within territory coverage.
• Provide remote telephone assistance as needed.
• Travel on short notice to support other field engineers.
• Complete all service documentation accurately and timely.
• Notify product quality issues to appropriate teams.
• Collaborate with Territory Sales and Field Applications Specialists.
• Manage accounts and identify opportunities for upgrades and consumables.
