Job summary

SPT Labtech is seeking a Field Service Engineer to cover the West Coast, primarily San Diego or Seattle. The role involves remote work with substantial travel (50% overnight) to support installations, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs across the US.

Strong customer-facing skills, engineering background, and passport validity are required. Occasional international travel for training and coverage of other regions may occur; proximity to a major airport is a plus.

Qualifications

• Proven electro/mechanical troubleshooting abilities.
• Education equivalent of at least an associate’s degree or engineering discipline.
• Excellent customer facing skills and proactive workload management.
• Ability to travel ~50% overnight and cover other US regions as needed.
• Valid passport and willingness for international training travel.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and perform territory service work including on-site installation and preventative maintenance.
• Conduct emergency service repairs within territory.
• Provide remote telephone assistance to customers.
• Travel on short notice to support other Field Service Engineers as needed.
• Complete all required service documentation in a timely manner.
• Communicate product quality issues to relevant teams.
