Chroma Color is hiring a Commercial Account Representative located on the WEST COAST,as we are GROWING!! We sell color that makes products that fill the shelves like bottles, caps, lids, and much more!This is a remote traveling sales position (overnight travel about 25%) that will report to the West Coast Sales Director.
The Commercial Account Representative is responsible for generating sales in the geographical market on the West Coast. They use their knowledge of injection molding, blow molding and roto molding, etc. and their strong understanding of the plastics market to connect with consumers, manage relationships, and generate sales for Chroma Color. They ensure client and customer needs are understood and met with excellence, working to find solutions to any client issues and managing other departments to ensure clients are experiencing a positive client-company relationship.
• Analyze market potential and customer needs and develop relevant and effective sales strategies and marketing plans.
• Make cold calls, pursue leads, and take calls from prospective customers.
• Communicate with clients to ensure that all their needs are understood and addressed.
• Build strong client relationships to maintain old business and acquire new customers.
• Collaborate and coordinate with internal departments and sales team members to ensure that they fulfill all customer requests.
• Resolve complaints and keep track of all processes that pertain to the client’s desires.
• Act as the customer's representative to ensure that their demands are met with a focus on improving the customer experience.
• Collect and analyze data concerning consumer behavior to understand changing needs.
• Track sales and generate status reports.
•Maintain documentation of client contacts, sales agreements, and contracts.
• Provide management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
• Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends.
• Achieve or exceed agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule.
• Keep work area organized and safe at all times.
• Additional duties as assigned, including housekeeping and assisting in other areas.
• Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree and 3 years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as business periodicals, technical procedures, or regulatory manuals. Ability to write reports, memos, correspondence, and instructional documents. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to team members, supervisors,customers, and vendors.
• Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures such as pricing, discounts, commissions, percentages, and sales performance metrics. Ability to analyze financial data related to sales revenue, costs, and profitability, and perform budgeting and forecasting.
• Reasoning Skills: Ability to define problems, investigate and research, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of data from multiple sources involving abstract and concrete variables. Ability to synthesize information and develop creative solutions.
• Computer Skills: Intermediate keyboarding, data entry, and computer navigation skills; ability to use training (LMS) and safety compliance software/mobile apps, email, video conferencing tools, and MS Office Suite; ability to create reports, presentations, and pitch decks; proficiency with Customer Relationship Management (CRM), order processing, and database management software; familiarity with product knowledge databases or inventory management systems.
• Physical Demands: The employee is constantly required to sit for up to 10 hrs. and use close vision. They are frequently required to speak and hear; reach with hands and arms; and use hands to finger, handle, grasp and/or feel. They are occasionally required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Ability to travel frequently by plane or automotive vehicle is required.
• Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. The employee is occasionally exposed to loud noise; moving mechanical parts; fumes, airborne particles; wet and/or humid conditions; and outside weather conditions.
