Job summary

Taylor Hopkinson is seeking a BESS Sales Manager on the West Coast for a global leader in advanced battery technology, delivering energy storage solutions to utilities, industrial and renewable projects worldwide. You will own the sales cycle from business development through contract negotiation, provide technical and commercial support, build strong customer relationships, and travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of B2B outside sales selling technical solutions within power/renewables/BESS industries.
• Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets.
• Strong understanding of utility-scale power and energy storage market.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship skills.
• Self-driven, organized with strong time management.
• Willingness to travel ~50%.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to grow territory.
• Identify and pursue opportunities with utilities, developers, EPCs, and others.
• Deliver technical and commercial presentations.
• Build and maintain relationships with existing customers while developing new ones.
• Conduct needs assessments and cost-benefit analyses.
• Prepare proposals and negotiate terms throughout sales cycle.
• Collaborate with engineering, marketing, product, and operations teams.
• Monitor market trends and competitive activity.
• Maintain accurate forecasts and CRM pipeline.
• Resolve customer issues to ensure satisfaction and growth.
• Travel approximately 50%.
