Job summary

State Street seeks a Managing Director to lead Asset Owner Relationship Management on the West Coast, driving strategic engagement with public pensions, endowments, foundations, corporations, and OCIOs.

You will be a player-coach, directing a high-performing team, deepening client relationships, delivering integrated solutions, and strengthening State Street’s position as a top provider of technology, data, and services for Asset Owners.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in institutional relationship management.
• Proven leadership in managing complex client relationships and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to facilitate meetings with executives to operational points of contact.
• Deep understanding of investment operations, data platforms, and regulatory environments.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive presence.
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic relationship coverage across the West Coast for Asset Owner clients.
• Serve as executive sponsor/relationship manager for top-tier clients.
• Oversee and develop a high-performing team of relationship managers.
• Ensure proactive risk management and governance for client portfolios.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing and product partners to expand capabilities.
