Job summary

Wellington Management in San Francisco seeks a Consultant Relations Manager to lead Western US consultant and OCIO engagement. You will develop strategic growth plans, strengthen manager researcher relationships, and articulate Wellington’s investment capabilities to clients.

The role requires deep knowledge of the institutional consultant landscape, collaboration with internal partners, and the ability to advance growth opportunities while supporting client retention across a broad network.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of industry experience with investment concepts across asset classes.
• Strong commercial judgment; ability to build credibility with stakeholders.
• CFA, MBA or other advanced degree preferred; FINRA licenses are a plus.
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills; capable of clear explanations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic engagement and growth plans for priority consultant relationships in the Western US.
• Serve as primary contact for key organizations across research teams, OCIO teams and senior leadership.
• Articulate Wellington's differentiated outcomes, portfolio roles and implementation considerations.
• Build knowledge of each organization's business strategy, client base and governance processes.
• Collaborate with Portfolio Management and other teams to coordinate coverage.
• Lead strategy reviews, product introductions, RFPs, and portfolio reviews.
• Translate research and relationships into tangible outcomes such as searches, platform placements and mandates.
• Provide market feedback and competitive intelligence to internal teams.
