Palm Beach Tan in Matthews, NC is seeking a Manager in Training to join our leader in tanning and wellness. You will work with the Store Manager to learn how to coach a high-energy team, reach goals, and run a successful salon.

You’ll gain hands-on training for the Store Manager role, with a focus on people development, scheduling, and driving sales. A welcoming team environment and advancement opportunities accompany competitive hourly earnings and benefits.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of retail, customer service, operations, or management experience (bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, and the ability to motivate others
• Basic computer and POS skills
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to be on your feet 7+ hours a day and lift up to 50 lbs

Responsibilities

• Learn to run a great salon side by side with the Store Manager.
• Lead and coach Wellness Consultants and Salon Support team.
• Recruit, schedule, and develop great people.
• Set goals, track performance, and follow up on training.
• Manage labor, cost of sales, and other controllable expenses.
• Deliver excellent customer service and resolve customer concerns professionally.
• Keep the salon clean, stocked, and compliant with health department standards.
• Help plan local promotions to grow store sales.
• Handle cash, deposits, and customer card data securely (PCI training).
