Job summary

Westin Rancho Mirage Golf Resort & Spa seeks a hands-on Sous Chef to support the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations across restaurant, banquet, lounge, and catering. You will lead culinary teams, uphold food safety standards, manage costs, and deliver exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of progressive leadership in luxury hospitality, strong knowledge of preparation techniques, and a passion for hospitality.

Qualifications

• Culinary leadership experience in hotel, resort, or high-volume food service.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Executive Chef with planning, organization, and execution of culinary operations.
• Supervise and support kitchen staff in preparation, presentation, and quality of menu items.
• Lead, coach, train, and develop culinary team members to achieve excellence.
• Ensure compliance with food quality standards and sanitation regulations.
• Monitor production, freshness, portion control, and presentation.
• Assist with scheduling, staffing, and labor management.
• Oversee inventory, ordering, and cost controls.
• Collaborate with F&B leadership to enhance guest experience.
• Foster a positive, inclusive kitchen environment.
