Job summary

Miramonte Resort & Spa in Indian Wells, CA is seeking a Sous Chef to lead and inspire the culinary team across Grapefruit Basil and resort outlets. You’ll ensure high standards, execute brand recipes, and deliver exceptional guest experiences in a luxury setting.

Work alongside the Chef de Cuisine to shape menus, mentor staff, manage costs, and create moments guests remember long after their departure.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of culinary experience in hotel, resort or high-volume setting.
• Prior supervisory or lead line cook experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, and cost control.
• Calm, confident leadership with team motivation.
• Able to thrive in fast-paced luxury environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and supervise kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
• Ensure dishes meet recipe standards and brand presentation.
• Maintain proper food storage, rotation, and sanitation.
• Support menu planning and recipe development.
• Manage kitchen organization and labor targets.
• Monitor food costs and reduce waste.
• Assist with VIP events, banquets, and resort activations.
