Job summary

Chickasaw Nation is seeking a full-time Wellness Counselor and Educator for the Ardmore Wellness Center, located at the Ardmore Wellness Center. The role works 12:00 PM–8:00 PM, Monday through Friday, and focuses on developing, implementing and coordinating activities to improve participant wellbeing.

The position involves providing counseling, education, and assistance with wellness activities such as health fairs and biometric screenings, while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (Bachelors Other).
  • At least 1 year of directly related experience.
  • CPR, First Aid, Lifeguard Certification, Water Safety/Aerobics, Standard Driver's License.

  • Provides first class customer service to internal and external customers and responds to inquiries and complaints with professionalism.
  • Guides health education and counseling for individuals, families and groups.
  • Assist with planning health/wellness activities, health fairs, biometric screenings.

We are currently looking for aFull Time Wellness Counselor and Educatorto join our Ardmore Wellness Center team located at the Ardmore Wellness Center working 12:00PM-8:00PM - Mo Tu We Th Fr.

Summary

The purpose of this position is to develop, implement and coordinate activities for the purpose of maintaining and improving the well being of participants.

Responsibilities
  • Provides first class customer service to both internal and external customers and responds to inquiries, compliments, and/or complaints with professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency
  • Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities
  • Works in a collaborative and supportive manner to support the productivity and safety of the work area, team members and customers of all types
  • Maintains a clean, organized work area and ensures a safe environment
  • Maintains and promotes professionalism
  • Punctual and consistent in meeting start time, work schedule, attendance and other assigned work time metrics
  • Adheres to Chickasaw Nation dress code standards
  • Maintains knowledge of and follows all rules, regulations, policies and guidelines for assigned area
  • Assists with day-to-day operations of the division or facility
  • Books guest reservations/tickets for all applicable amenities such as hotel, golf, spa, RV, concert or any other amenity using applicable systems
  • Performs public relation assignments as directed
  • Prepares daily reports
  • Assist with planning, developing and implementing health/wellness activities by identified needs and desires of participants and providers
  • Provide guidance and educational counseling services to individuals, families and groups
  • Assist with planning and coordinating wellness activities, health fairs, biometric screening etc
  • Create opportunities for organized exercise programs within the Chickasaw Nation
  • Encourage exercise and proper nutrition by providing on-site and on-going training services to participants
  • Performs all other duties as assigned
