Description
We are currently looking for aFull Time Child Development Teacher Assistantto join our Child Development Center Ardmore team located at the Chickasaw Nation Child Development Center - Ardmore.
Summary
Assists in providing quality child care services in a secure, loving environment that promotes development for all children.
Responsibilities
- * Assists in supervision of children during mealtime, activities, and movement thru play
- * Assists with keeping classrooms and work areas neat and clean ensuring toys are cleaned weekly and sorted daily
- * Collaborates and ensures the health, welfare and safety of the children in the group
- * Ability to manage and redirect challenging behaviors in young children
- * Ensures all bedding is clean and sanitary at all times and diapers and clothing are changed promptly when wet or soiled
- * Assists in daily needs of child

- * Required to obtain 20 hours or more of child care training each year
- * Provides first class customer service to both internal and external customers and responds to inquiries, compliments, and/or complaints with professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency
- * Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities
- * Works in a collaborative and supportive manner to support the productivity and safety of the work area, team members and customers of all types
- * Maintains a clean, organized work area and ensures a safe environment
- * Maintains and promotes professionalism
- * Punctual and consistent in meeting start time, work schedule, attendance and other assigned work time metrics
- * Adheres to Chickasaw Nation dress code standards
- * Maintains knowledge of and follows all rules, regulations, policies and guidelines for assigned area

Experience
Essential:
- * No prior experience required
Education
Essential:
- * High School, GED or Equivalent
Credentials
Essential:
- * Pass general background check
- * Standard Driver's License
- * Sleep Safe Training
- * Shaken Baby Syndrome Training
- * Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification (CPR)
- * First Aid Certification
- * PAX Tools - Positive Parenting Workshop
Essential:
- * Must complete Sleep Safe, Shaken Baby and ELCCT within 10 days of employment, promotion, or transfer date.
- * Required to obtain 20 hours of more of childcare training each year.
- * Must obtain CPR/First Aid within 30 days of employment, promotion, or transfer date.
- * Must obtain Conscious Discipline, PAX Tools, HOPE and CDI training within 120 days of employment, promotion, or transfer date.
