The Wellness Coordinator is responsible for meeting the social and therapeutic needs of residents through activities, wellness interventions, leisure programming, and ongoing interaction with community groups.

Completes the wellness portion of the assessment process and provides relevant daily events and programming to meet residents' needs.

Qualifications Required

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver’s license appropriate for the assigned vehicle
• Acceptable driving record per Benedictine requirements
• If leading the program, must meet federal qualifications, including:
• Being a qualified therapeutic recreation specialist or activities professional, licensed or registered as applicable, and eligible for certification by a recognized body since October 1, 1990;
• OR having 2 years of experience in a social or recreational program within the last 5 years, including 1 year full-time in a healthcare setting;
• OR being a qualified occupational therapist or assistant;
• OR having completed an approved training course by the State.

Qualifications Preferred

• In good standing on the State Nursing Assistant Registry
• BLS Certification
• First Aid certification
• Experience in long-term care
