Description
Manages the day-to-day healthcare operations of the community to ensure residents' healthcare needs are met. Ensures residents are treated with respect and dignity and maintains quality care as residents' healthcare needs change. Ensures consistent quality resident care and service delivery across all shifts; this may involve assuming roles such as Caregiver or Med Tech/Aide to meet residents' needs and staffing requirements.
Assists in supervising community-based licensed nursing staff, medication technicians/CMA's, and Caregivers; provides ongoing training and education to Caregivers through classroom in-services and situation-specific training. Also manages staff schedules.
Oversees medication training, pharmacy management, and medication supervision and/or administration within the community. Conducts periodic medication skills inventory checks and audits in accordance with Brookdale Guidelines.
Shares on-call duties as required.
Education required to obtain a state nursing license (LPN/LVN or RN) and a minimum of 1-2 years relevant experience. Valid LPN or LVN license required.
