Job summary

WELLNESS COACH (SAMPSON COUNTY YMCA) in Clinton, NC seeks a part-time wellness coach to guide members toward healthy living in a safe, engaging environment aligned with YMCA policies.

You will assist with developing and implementing member wellness activities, set up equipment, track progress, and help members with disabilities while collaborating with staff to deliver a high-quality member experience.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age; GED preferred.
• CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications required.
• Ability to work independently and in a group setting.
• Basic knowledge of computers.
• At least one year of coaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer questions from members to support goals related to healthy living.
• Builds effective relationships with members and helps connect them with the YMCA.
• Sets members up on equipment and documents exercise programs on tracking sheets.
• Assist members living with disabilities.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings as required.
• Maintain open communications with supervisor.
• Maintain equipment and report breakages to supervisor.
• Cover shifts and communicate substitutes to Director/Coordinator.
• Follow YMCA policies and respond to emergencies.
