Job summary

Greater Green Bay YMCA seeks a Wellness Center Associate to ensure a safe, welcoming fitness space. You will monitor activity, demonstrate equipment use, and uphold cleanliness while supporting member engagement and healthy lifestyles.

Qualifications

• An enthusiastic and engaging personality
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to demonstrate basic exercises and safe movement techniques
• CPR and/or first responder training

Responsibilities

• Monitor the fitness center floor to observe member activity and equipment use, intervening to correct unsafe behaviors and reinforce YMCA policies.
• Provide high-quality member assistance by demonstrating proper equipment operation and offering basic exercise guidance.
• Maintain facility cleanliness and equipment functionality through cleaning, organizing weights, and inspecting machines.
• Respond to emergencies by following safety protocols and communicating with leadership.
• Greet members, engage in friendly conversations, and create a welcoming atmosphere to foster belonging and retention.
• Share information about upcoming classes and wellness opportunities to boost participation.
