Job summary

Greenwich YMCA is seeking a part-time Wellness/Gym Associate to greet members, assist with orientations, supervise fitness spaces and promote a safe, welcoming environment.

The role emphasizes customer service, basic computer skills, reliable teamwork, and adherence to safety standards. You will help maintain a clean gym floor, support members in reaching goals, and occasionally promote personal training packages. Weekend availability required.

Qualifications

• 2-year college degree or certificate in fitness-related field preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy gym environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service and greet members.
• Assist with new member orientations and outreach.
• Maintain a clean, safe gym floor and monitor member safety.
• Assist with scheduling orientations and promote YMCA programs.
• Support membership sales and promote personal training packages.
• Attend staff meetings and follow safety protocols.
